Category Management Lead, Open to flexibility

Grow with us as Category Management Lead and lead of team of Category Managers,/ Analysts, providing a full Category Management service.

Foster the development of actionable insights to sell and implement customer specific Category Strategies to drive category and Kellogg's growth across different customer channels.

WHAT WILL I BE DOING?

  • Lead the Category Team for the relevant Category / Channel to create, develop and drive Category Management service across customer teams to increase sales and achieve customer business targets
  • Working with Cereal and Snacks sales leads, identify customer initiatives to grow Category and Kellogg's and then resource and execute against these appropriately
  • Plan, lead and flawlessly execute range updates and range reviews in line with Kellogg's and customer objectives
  • Customer and category level reporting and analysis to identify insight that drives business performance - specific focus on sales fundamentals, Quarterly reviews and monthly reporting (through line management of analyst)
  • Sign off of LAM inputs for distribution and rate of sale benchmarking for Kellogg's innovation plans, as well sign off of sell ins our new products
  • Manage portfolio within customer to grow distribution to drive category and Kellogg's sales (NPD, top 30 and tail management)
  • Identify customer contact matrix and develop best in class category relationships to unlock category opportunities (external reporting and regular customer visits)

WHAT DO I NEED TO DEMONSTRATE?

As well as the passion of our brands and the hunger to learn, you'll need to show evidence of the following:

Required:

  • FMCG experience to include experience of Category Management/Development/Sales
  • Line Management experience

Preferred:

  • Excellent analytical skills combined with the ability to translate to insight
  • Excellent communication, presentation & influencing skills with a proven record of delivery
  • FMCG experience

WHAT ELSE DO I NEED TO KNOW?

This role requires frequent travel across UK, with a need to stay away overnight for prolonged periods (potentially up to 6 weeks for customer range reviews).
