The Role

‘The Sport and Physical Activity Service wants to make Camden one of the most physically active places to live and work in the Capital. We have just undertaken a review of our priorities for investment and refined our approach so that we can build on our contribution to delivering the Camden Plan. We are now looking to add to our team of dedicated sport, physical activity and health professionals who can help to harness the health benefits of sport and physical activity for the people of Camden’.

To be responsible for providing a comprehensive high quality, professional and customer focused business and administrative support to the Children and Young People Operations Manager and Team; you will provide administrative support to the Children and Young People Operations service area, ensuring that it maximises resources and income generation through efficient and effective organisation of classes and sports courses. As well as this, you’ll develop systems that support the service and provide up to date information and monitoring data (both financial and participation), you will need to have an eye for detail and accuracy.

About You

You’ll be a highly organised individual and have the ability to prioritise your own workload whilst meeting business and service needs. Alongside this, good numeracy skills and being well acquainted with computers and systems is key to the functioning of this role.

You’ll have excellent communication and customer care skills, working with colleagues across the council to achieve the best outcomes for service users. You’ll have a good understanding of confidentiality and respond appropriately to sensitive situations.

It is essential for the role holder to be approachable, friendly and carry out all duties in a professional manner, as there will be daily contact with customers, suppliers and colleague’s service wide.
