What can you bring to GSK Barnard Castle?

We need your help to provide an engineering support service that meets the business and regulatory needs of the department. With your skills and experience we’d like you to be responsible for engineering activities associated with the GSK production process including the management and supervision of the SIBU engineering team and any contractors. We’d like you to be our Engineering Manager and bring your skills and experience which include:

  • Engineering degree level qualification and experience as a professional engineer
  • Maintenance budget management
  • Maintenance strategy, including maintenance and shutdown requirements to business schedule planning
  • Planning & implementation of employee health, safety and quality policies and improvement activities
  • Preparation and review of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) schedules and reports via the MERPS system
  • Continuous improvement – driving increased performance aligned to objectives and key performance indicators (KPI’s)

The "Barney" site is a key member of the Global Manufacturing and Supply (GMS) organisation and produce some of the world's leading dermatological, sterile, inhaled and oral medicines for a wide range of diseases including MRSA, leukaemia and HIV. You will be the engineering customer for the sterile and inhalation business unit (SIBU) small-scale project activities.
