The Deloitte Audit and Assurance practice provides clients with professional advice and assurance on their controls and accounting systems all year round. We understand our clients' operations, their industry and the issues they face, and this enables us to provide them with relevant advice. 
This role will work alongside the BD Senior Manager for Assurance as part of the Marketing and BD team. 

The role is available due to maternity leave cover from October 2017 (TBC). 

Role description

The Marketing and BD team within the A&A C&M team is responsible for providing strategic direction and advice to the respective leadership Partners on go to market activity. 

This role is to take ownership for and manage the development and delivery of marketing campaigns, initiatives for Audit & Assurance, as prioritised by the Business Partner and C&M Partner, and influence best practice thinking across the service line.

Hours: This is a part time 12 month maternity cover 


  • Responsible for developing and delivering strategy and detailed project plans for specific AA marketing campaigns. This includes:
  • Ownership of Deloitte Finance Club, MCC Sponsorship, Company Secretary Forum, global A&A brand adoption and providing Marketing expertise on campaigns around Corporate Governance, Annual Report Insights, and Finance for the Future. 
  • Ensuring campaign plans, and activities within them, ‘start with the client’ and are aligned to the principles of insightful, focused, targeted and bespoke.
  • Being the first point of contact for any proposed activity regarding specific campaigns, shaping or challenging this constructively as necessary, ensuring these are based on strategy, are impactful and have KPI’s 
  • Providing expert Marketing advice, influence, and challenge to inspire senior stakeholders.
  • Providing reports on campaign and initiatives progress, providing clear ROI, as well as identifying areas of improvement; 
  • Providing reports on campaign budget, ongoing measurement of spend and return where feasible.
  • Engaging with the AA C&M team (Audit Capture Office(ACO), Bids & BD) and the wider C&M community (Senior Boardroom Relationships, Agency – marketing delivery, creative studio, digital and, PR, Brand etc.) to deliver campaigns
  • Managing key stakeholder relationships within A&A and other relevant Partners, develop strong, professional relationships with this group, managing their expectations throughout the year.
  • Input into the FY19 C&M planning process.


  • Evidence of development and delivery of integrated, creative marketing campaigns and initiatives
  • Evidence of managing to budget and understanding and militating against risk.
  • Understands the breadth of capability of Deloitte’s wider C&M teams and can apply this to campaigns.
  • Ability to manage multiple campaigns and initiatives; works well under pressure, with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Team player – shows evidence of working with others to get things done, specifically across a matrix structure
  • Creative writing skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders at all levels up to partner
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to influence at all levels. 
  • Excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing, including presentation skills, that clearly articulate priorities and expectations
  • Passion for and understanding of the Deloitte brand, the Audit & Assurance brand and professional services.
  • Evidence of participation and interest in the broader activities and positioning of the firm.
  • Experience of working in professional services / multi stakeholder environments.
  • Experience in digital channels, including email marketing website content, and social media
