IT Project Manager, Open to flexible working

Warwickshire County Council are looking to recruit 2 IT Project Managers to join our successful ICT Project Management Team. Our team bring Agile and waterfall project management expertise to a range of priority IT projects, and deliver outcomes which are transforming service delivery at Warwickshire County Council.

The Role

37.0 Hours per Week

Fixed term contract until March 2019.

Part Time hours will be considered.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day to day tasks of a project. They will work closely with key stakeholders to ensure that project is aligned to the strategic outcomes of the organisation, capturing benefits and identifying and managing any associated risks to successful delivery. 

They will ensure that they promote the use of project management methodologies and provide timely and accurate reports on project progress and key milestones.

You will have knowledge and experience of the full lifecycle of project management and would have previous experience working on a wide range of projects as well as an ability to communicate and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders.

The projects may be standalone or part of complex business focused projects for which you will manage the IT workstream.

Alongside these technical projects you will be working with all areas of the business creating project plans, business cases an d project initiation documentation and work closely with project teams and relevant shareholders to ensure successful delivery, within budget and to the desired quality.

Key Requirements

A level 4 candidate will have experience of managing small projects, knowledge of Prince 2, waterfall and agile methodologies.

A level 5 candidate will be an experienced Prince2 project manager. Experience of working within the Public sector is desirable.
