Commercial Cards are pleased to offer an exciting new opportunity to join a growing part of the Bank. Commercial Cards provide a diverse range of products and services focusing on payment and working capital solutions, to customers from Retail Business and Small Medium Enterprises all the way through to the Corporate sector covering Mid-Market (MM), Global Corporate (GC) and Financial Institutions (FI).

The Corporate Client Development team is a team of 10-12 Senior Client Development Managers specifically focusing on clients across the UK with a turnover in excess of £25m (MM, GC and FI) and is responsible for providing payment solutions which compete in this market, ensuring they meet customer needs and deliver financial and operational benefits to both the customer and Lloyds Banking Group.

We are currently recruiting for a new Senior Manager - Corporate Client Development to join the Senior Leadership Team for the Commercial Cards business. The role requires a real aptitude and experience in Senior Sales Management, developing and implementing new business strategy, inspirational leadership, customer management, payment innovation, developing people and processes, senior stakeholder management (both internal and external) and the creation of a 'can-do' and client development focused culture.

In this role you will also be responsible for managing the client development team in supporting the needs of clients who by their nature are complex and demanding, whilst also delivering profitable card solutions and business growth, with ownership of the P & L from a Corporate acquisition perspective.

As well as driving forward business growth, you will also need to formulate and manage effective working partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, taking into account the strategic, commercial, market and regulatory context. You will have key engagement with the Commercial Cards leadership Team, Commercial Channels and Commercial Banking teams.

The role also involves managing a large corporate new business function, therefore we require an individual to have experience of direct customer engagement and delivering against new business strategies. It is also important that the individual can translate their delivery into concise briefings, requiring clear articulation and ability to present to senior management.

To succeed in this role your knowledge and experience will display the following:-

  • Sales management and senior leadership
  • Creation, implementation and delivery of new business strategies
  • Track record of achieving income and revenue to agreed targets, including delivery of corporate new acquisition budget
  • Strong internal stakeholder management experience, used to develop lasting relationships and obtaining the required commitment to delivery of sales and revenue targets
  • Creating a high performing team with a strong leadership culture centred round qualities of envisioning, enabling and empowering people
  • Drive external presence of Lloyds through schemes and third parties
