Business Development is therefore pleased to offer an exciting new opportunity to join a team who plays a critical role in the success of our Consumer Banking division. We are currently recruiting for a new Customer & Business Strategy Manager to join our team. In this role you will have an opportunity to get involved in diverse strategy projects across the different Consumer Banking product areas, and also across our core Retail brands, Lloyds, Halifax and Bank of Scotland.

As a Manager, your key accountabilities will be data research, analyse customer, competitors, internal and market data to extract relevant insight and use it to define overall strategy, and identify commercial opportunities, taking into consideration the regulatory context. The cross divisional nature of this role requires excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to influence across a range of functional disciplines and achieve effective solutions quickly and clearly.

To succeed in this role your knowledge will display the following:

  • Capability to analyse vast amount of data
  • Strong numeric and qualitative competency to identify market, competitor and consumer trends and commercial implications for the business
  • Strong commercial and analytical mind-set with an ability to develop clear and ambitious plans by cutting through ambiguity and complexity
  • Be a creative thinker, drawing upon, internal and external expertise to provide innovative solutions
  • High degree of self-motivation to drive change, and deliver positive outcomes for the business and customer
  • Present and communicate proposals/ options with clear rationale backed by thorough analysis
  • Ability to create, nurture and manage relationships with stakeholders across different teams

You are likely to have worked in Management Consulting or in a general management role and can demonstrate experience of strategic development, detailed business analysis and change within your area of expertise.
