Context of role

Diageo employs around 8000 people in Europe and requires dedicated employment law support in relation to the HR teams involved.  Employment law in Europe is a very dynamic area of law constantly changing with new regulations being published daily and new decisions being issued. Employment issues are some of the most potentially litigious issues that our business has to deal with.

In addition, the level of regulation in this area has increased markedly with a particular focus on Data Privacy and the implications for our business of managing our employee data. There is a need for focused employment legal advice to the organisation on areas as diverse as dismissals, discrimination, Data Privacy, terms & conditions, changes to policy, Employee Relations, industrial relations, redundancy and Change strategy advice amongst others

About you

You will have excellent knowledge and understanding of HR Legal issues relevant to an organisation the size of Diageo, and a clear ability to be pragmatic in approach and able to deliver sound commercially focused actionable advice.

You'll be a Lawyer qualified in Scotland or England & Wales, with a background in Employment Law experience, ideally experience of managing HR legal issues across Europe gain in a leading law firm and relevant in-house experience.
