Senior Project Officer (Rough Sleeping and Supported Housing), Open to flexible working
Do you want to play a key role in the Mayor’s COVID-19 response for people sleeping rough, and helping to tackle wider rough sleeping in the capital? An opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic person to join the GLA, to procure, develop, manage and monitor a range of rough sleeping services and initiatives commissioned by the Mayor as part of his multi-million-pound programme to tackle rough sleeping in the capital.
You will be responsible for managing and monitoring providers’ performance against contractual obligations and expected outcomes, managing and monitoring the budgets of contracted and grant-funded services, and taking ownership of operational and strategic issues. As part of this, you will work collaboratively with providers to ensure that the best possible outcomes are achieved, where necessary producing performance improvement action plans.
Experience of contract monitoring for homelessness or other social care services is vital, as is an understanding of procurement processes. You will have a good track record of building and maintaining relationships and, in particular, a sound knowledge of issues around supplier relationship management. You will also have excellent organisational, project planning and problem solving skills.
