Process Technologist, Open to flexible working
The NPI (New Product Introduction) and Technical function provides best in class processes that ensure the product inputs are understood and maintained through the product life-cycle within the wider manufacturing and production operations at the GSK Ware PSC (Pharma Supply Chain) Site. This entails all elements of the manufacture, testing and supply process from launch through to planned changes and to transfers.
Reporting to the Platform and Process Manager (Respiratory), you will provide scientific understanding of inhaled processes. Areas of work include supporting and leading platform improvements, supporting process performance and the resolution of technical issues. You will focus on a rolling 6 month to 2-year operational horizon to deliver site and technical objectives that support the continuous improvement and introduction of new processes at the Ware site. You will also provide technical support throughout development, validation and implementation phases. To achieve your objectives, you will work closely with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders, including Technical, Production, Engineering and Quality. You will also support the delivery of Product Lifecycle Management by actively monitoring process performance (including risk assessments, continuous improvement) as well as translate Control Strategies into standard work operations for GSK's wider production systems (GPS).
This role would suit a self-motivated individual who has experience of working in a cross-functional manufacturing environment. You will be resilient and calm under pressure, with strong people skills and a proven ability to influence people to achieve objectives and drive performance. You will have a strong continuous improvement mindset. Ideally you will have experience / knowledge of process improvements and a track record of driving change. This role is suitable for candidates with an Engineering background.

About Ware Manufacturing Site:
Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form. The site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company's pipeline of new medicines in these dose forms, many of which are life saving medicines. A series of investments in new state-of-the-art equipment are being made that will support the delivery of a record number of new products. This must be achieved whilst consistently delivering outstanding quality, service and value to our patients.

- Knowledge of process improvement and a track record in driving change.
- Experience of working in a highly regulated technical industry (ideally the pharmaceutical industry) with relevant qualifications in Scientific, Technical, or Engineering discipline.
- Operational knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes associated with a dosage form.
- Experience working in a cGMP aligned pharmaceutical environment.
