Programme Manager (LEDU) - Job share, flexible working
Influence the transformation of London’s NHS estate, while supporting wider public sector goals, such as affordable housing
This is a unique opportunity to support city-wide changes that will create a new future for London’s health and social care estate. The NHS is London’s largest landowner, with a combined estate around three times greater than Hyde Park. But with large areas currently not fit-for-purpose, the estate needs significant transformation. The London Estates Delivery Unit (LEDU) will oversee and enable the delivery of circa 500 projects at a value of more than £8billion over the next ten years.
That is where a highly performing programme manager with an exceptional track record of leading, developing and implementing programme management processes, like yourself, comes in. You will bring professional oversight to the performance management of projects including monitoring and reporting expenditure against budgets, tracking of key deliverables plus risk and issues management to the LEDU.
The LEDU is made up of a body of estates and associated organisations operating as a single unit through in-house and partner arrangements hosted by the GLA and jointly funded by London partners. The LEDU aims to support the five London Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) to deliver on their respective strategic estate priorities, by providing access to expert resource at the appropriate time and also a point of escalation to resolve issues at pace. You will act as a key operational interface with devolution partners and liaise with ICSs, Clinical Commissioning Groups, NHS providers and Local Authorities on strategic estate matters.
You will be required to provide expert support including creating and embedding systems for the effective management, improvement and delivery of a complex investment programme across London for use by a mixed team of estate professionals working towards the delivery of excellent health and care facilities across the capital and enabling wider public sector objectives to be achieved, including new affordable homes.
