Engineering Technician, Open to flexible working
Secondment / Fixed Term Contract
We are looking for a highly skilled Engineering Technician to join our talented team here at GSK in Barnard Castle.
As an Engineering Technician you will maintain pharmaceutical production equipment within key areas of the site, including manufacturing, filling and packing production lines performing proactive & preventative maintenance, as well as conducting fault finding, corrective works and equipment calibrations.
This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following:
- Maintenance and improvement of a wide range of manufacturing, filling, inspection and packaging equipment.
- Performing line, machine size, product change overs to support day to day production.
- Complete maintenance records (Work Orders).
- Continuous Improvement, safety & quality actions.
- Technical support for new product introduction, including equipment upgrades, machine improvements etc.
- Engineering Change Control (ECC) initiation, completion and sign off.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:
- Time Served Apprentice - Mechanical, Electrical or Multi-skilled.
- HNC Qualified in an Engineering discipline, with commensurate industry experience.
- Relevant manufacturing industry experience.
- Level 3/4 NVQ or equivalent qualification.
If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:
- Experience working in the Pharmaceutical industry.
- Hands on experience with Control Systems.
- Experience of SEA Vision.
- Siemens PLC knowledge.
