Black Country Women's Aid (BCWA) is an established charity working across the Black Country and wider West Midlands providing accommodation and community support services to victims of domestic abuse, sexual abuse, and human trafficking. Services range from advocacy, civil remedies, support in court, individual and group support and access to a range of therapeutic interventions. All services are client and needs led.

The service:

The Corporate Services comprise of BCWA's Finance, Fundraising, Human Resources, Development, Training and Governance teams. The work undertaken by Corporate Services underpins the support provided by our frontline staff. As BCWA has grown, Corporate Services have become more integral to the development and success of the organisation, and we are looking for valuable communications support. This is an exciting opportunity to work within our Development and Communications team.

Job Role

Job Title: Communications Officer
Position available: 1 part-time position (22.5 hours - flexible)
Salary: ??22,934-??25,590 (salary will be pro-rated for part-time hours)
Closing date: 12pm on Thursday 17th June

We are looking for a creative and experienced Communications Officer to assist with the ongoing development of our communications strategy and lead on its implementation to reach a variety of audiences including survivors of abuse, fundraisers and supporters, agency partners, and the public.

This is a great opportunity for someone who loves creatively working with a variety of stakeholders, including professional organizations, clients, and members of the public.

The Role:

You will work closely with the Development and Communications Manager and our wider staff team to refine our messages and develop innovative ways to tell our story through different channels.

You will act as the first point of contact for communication, branding, and press enquiries and provide effective communications, marketing, and media support for BCWA fundraising and service awareness campaigns.
