Kenton Black Finance are excited to have partnered exclusively with a Multi-Academy Trust based in Lancashire who are in a position to appoint a Chief Financial Officer due to significant growth and exciting future plans. Working closely with the CEO and COO, this role is integral to the delivery of the Trust's strategic aims and plays a key role as a member of the Trust's central and leadership team. With plans to double in size in the next 2 years, this CFO position will drive strategic value and lead the finance across the Trust on their continued growth trajectory.

Your new role as Chief Financial Officer:
In this pivotal CFO appointment, you will manage the finance team and form part of the Senior Leadership Team reporting to the CEO and Trust Board. You will provide strategic leadership and direction to support in formulating the Trust's future direction work closely in driving strategy in a multi-site organisation. As CFO you will take responsibility for ensuring robust controls and financial compliance and work closely with School Business Managers and various budget holders. As a hands-on leader you will oversee the preparation of management accounts and reports, ensuring the timely preparation of all statutory financial statements and lead on the audit process, being the primary point of contact. You will manage the forecasting process across the organisation to facilitate solid strategic planning, enabling effective decision making whilst supporting the CEO and Trust Board. You will liaise with budget holders and other key stakeholders to deliver and advise on meaningful financial information, challenging where necessary and be responsible for the annual budgets, cash flow forecasts and the three year financial plan. In a rounded and highly strategic role, you will take the lead on regular reviews of expenditure and services whilst identifying areas for improvements to both internal controls and service delivery.
Experience & Qualifications Required to apply:
To be considered for this rare opportunity, you will be a CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified, established at a CFO level or similar within the Education sector. You will be able to clearly demonstrate an exceptional track record of delivering strong financial control and oversight and have the ability to inspire, challenge and lead a high calibre and like-minded professionals. An established senior finance professional, with experience of developing and managing a team of individuals, you will be a strategic and credible leader with proven examples of driving improvements and controls within finance and the wider organisation. Importantly, you will share the Trust's commitment to provide an excellent educational experience for all of their young people, improving and sustaining high levels of school performance.
