Diageo is the world’s leading premium drinks company with an outstanding collection of brands, such as Johnnie Walker, Smirnoff, Baileys, Captain Morgan, Tanqueray and Guinness. Our purpose – Celebrating life, every day, everywhere – has an important role in our company, for our people, our diversity, our brands, in how we perform and how we create shared value.

As we continue to evolve the overall effectiveness of our Total Rewards Strategy, we need to ensure we are getting the right returns on the investments we are making. The ability to attract, retain, and motivate the right talent is critical in driving our Performance Ambition. A key component of our reward strategy is to build broader capability in assessing our competitive posture and ensuring we apply the right level of segmentation to support the diversity of our both our markets and talent strategy, whilst balancing overall affordability.

We are excited to be hiring a Global Reward Transformation Lead role, which will be focused on driving a shift on Reward processes and practices aligned to the future direction for the function, covering both CoE and Shared Services.  It will lead on global policies and practices for market competitiveness, job evaluation and organisational grades. Working with the Reward Leadership team, it is envisaged that this role will identify key opportunities to scale current processes into shared services and start building out a multi-year roadmap to increase the effectiveness of the global reward processes and programs. It will balance process excellence with policy development, project leadership and steward the reward prioritization approach. With a critical focus on technology enablement, the role will also play a key partnership role with the broader HR Transformation agenda.

There are 4 key areas of accountability

Define the Reward transformation plan for the next 3 years with clear milestones and a plan to execute. Define standards and methodology for key reward activities such as salary benchmarking and job evaluation including technology enablement and the multi-year analytics strategy. Create a plan that enables the transfer of Reward operational activities to GRO, including things such as Salary Benchmarking and SIP administration.  This should include a fully documented process (plus desk top procedures for the GRO team), and a clear transition plan for activities to move Work with the Process Governance Team to ensure that changes to Reward activities are properly reflected in Workday (WD).  Be the WD Reward expert in the COE.

If you are someone who has experience in Market Reward and delivering results against overall market & HR strategy, we’d love to hear from you. We’re also interested in seeing expertise on base salary management – Merit Strategy Development, Competitive Analysis, Salary Range Construction, investment plan segmentation, governance development and management and Pay Strategy development. Most importantly, we’re looking for someone with an ability to build strong relationships at all levels and across different cultures, with good stakeholder management, alignment and influencing skills.

Celebrating our inclusive and diverse culture is core to Diageo’s purpose of “celebrating life every day everywhere”. This purpose is, in itself, inclusive in nature, as it values everybody irrespective of background, disability, religion, gender identity, sexuality or ethnicity.

We know that for our business to thrive and for Diageo to realize its ambition, we depend on having diverse talent with a range of backgrounds, skills and capabilities in each of the 180 countries in which we operate and to reflect our broad consumer base. We view diversity as one of the key enablers that helps our business to grow and our values, purpose and standards set the conditions for us to respect the unique contribution each person brings.

Flexibility is key to success in our business and many of our staff work flexibly in many different ways, including part-time, compressed hours, flexible location. Please talk to us about what flexibility means to you and don’t let anything stop you from applying.
