The Role

We are seeking to recruit a Venues and Events Coordinator to manage the coordination, operation and delivery of a range of commercial, private and internal events at four venues within the Borough.

With an emphasis on both internal and external client management, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day liaison with clients who have booked event space within the venues. From the initial enquiry, through to planning and the delivery of the event on the day, the Venues and Event Coordinator will take the lead on multiple bookings at the same time and therefore should have strong sales and customer service experience as well as impeccable organisational skills. Focus on the safe operation of events, adhering to health and safety legislation and licensing law will also be a key responsibility of this role.

The role will work closely with the Venues Sales Manager to ensure that all clients are sent event documentation such as confirmation, contracts and event sheets, whilst maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.

The Requirements

The candidate will have significant relevant experience of large scale venue based event management, both in administration and operations.

The successful candidate will understand the complexities of planning and delivery of a range of events, health and safety requirements and have experience in people management.

The successful candidate will be required to maintain excellent levels of customer service to internal and external clients.

The successful candidate must have experience of event based administration including diary systems, client databases and invoicing procedures.
