Greenpeace Speaker Outreach Coordinator

£26,592 - £30,796.80 per annum (£33,240 - £38,496 FTE)

Part-time (30 hours per week)  Fixed term contract for 1 year

Greenpeace is an international non-profit global campaigning organisation. Our independence and global reach enable us to stand for positive change through action in order to defend nature and promote peace. We investigate and expose global environmental problems, confront those in positions of power and present alternative solutions.

This is a great opportunity to develop your ability to bring together communities, volunteers, strategic partners and marketing campaigns – by inspiring thousands of young people around the UK to take action to combat climate change.

Working closely with the Outreach Campaigner, you’ll help to coordinate the pivotal Greenpeace Speaker programme, which inspires, enthuses and ‘activates’ new audiences on a nationwide scale and supports a network of around 100 passionate volunteers.

In particular, you’ll be developing marketing and promotion of the programme and will be expected to cultivate relationships with strategic partners, including universities, colleges and youth groups, to create demand for talks from speakers. You’ll also be responsible for delivering engaging communications to the volunteer network, using a variety of channels.

You'll have

  • A track record of successful community organising, ideally with a youth, education and/or environmental focus.
  • Knowledge of marketing and promotion via a range of channels (offline and online), with the ability to design and deliver campaigns.
  • Experience of delivering outreach projects, developing partnerships with organisations and networks, and working with volunteers.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including using digital media.

You’ll be encouraged to develop both personally and professionally, taking advantage of the wide range of learning and development opportunities available to our staff. We offer great benefits such as a generous pension scheme, subsidised lunches, free yoga and a wealth of well-being resources, just to name a few. Take a look at our Work for Greenpeace pages to find out more about what it’s like to work for us and why you should apply.

We are happy to consider flexible working requests as part of the recruitment process.
