Accounts Assistant – Part time, 25 hours per week

Hours: 5 hours per day, Monday to Friday

Location: Old Street, London

We have a brilliant opportunity for an Accounts Assistant to take on a varied accounts job.

We are seeking a personable and technically competent person to join our small friendly accounts team.

Working closely with the CFO, principle responsibilities include:

  • Purchase ledger payments
  • Working with spreadsheets and journals
  • Assisting with credit control
  • Recording payments
  • Banking and bank reconciliation
  • Assisting with management accounts
  • Invoicing
  • Creating, running and analysing reports
  • Dealing with accounts queries

The role will suit someone who is returning to work or who needs flexible hours.  

Qualifications, Skills, Experience and Personal Requirements:

  • Minimum part qualified AAT or qualified by experience
  • Strong IT skills – Word/Excel/Outlook and experience of using accounting packages
  • Effective communicator / good organisation skills / attention to detail
  • Team player with a strong work ethic
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Confident at working with people at all levels
  • Self-starter, takes initiative
  • Flexible and Adaptable to change

Package:

  • £25,000-£30,000 pro rata dependent on experience
  • 23 days holiday pro rata 
  • Stakeholder pension
