Job Summary

Schools & Educational Improvement Adviser- FTC

Soulbury Grade (spinal point 31 to 34): Starting salary £68,402 pa rising in annual increments to £71,761 pa incl LW + 3 SPA points

(Part time applicants will be considered)

This is a key post in the Council’s drive for continuous improvement for all our children and young people and is integral to the development of success of our recently launched Lambeth Schools Partnership. www.lambethschoolspartnership.uk

With successful primary headship and possibly LA experience behind you, you will be a School Improvement Adviser for a group of schools. A specific interest in whole school strategies for raising achievement is essential. Applications from serving head teachers on a secondment basis will be welcomed.

At this senior level, you will need:

  • A proven track record of school improvement
  • An excellent understanding of the context in which schools work and strategies to overcome underachievement
  • Existing accreditation as an Ofsted Inspector or willingness to train
  • An understanding of the role of elected members
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Resilience
  • A proven ability to work collaboratively to raise standards and accelerate progress
