Based in Elephant & Castle (but some travel within London required)

Salary: £25,000 pro rata (£10,000 for 2 days (15 hours) per week)

12-month initial fixed contract (with potential for extension or permanent position)

We bring entrepreneurial individuals together in a shared, collaborative learning environment, enabling them to gain confidence, set up a business, start trading and ultimately employ other people.

We run adult learning courses for people who are starting their own business; we offer support and guidance to local businesses through our regular face-to-face business clinics; we broker trading opportunities at street markets and events to give our entrepreneurs real world experience of exhibiting, buying and selling; we create enterprise support networks that help members to share knowledge, collaborate and ultimately win contracts. We are also involved in working with micro and small businesses who face considerable challenges from redevelopment in their area.

The main task of Data and Compliance Coordinator will be to maintain the integrity and accuracy of our Salesforce CRM database which Tree Shepherd uses to track client engagement and social impact. You will also be asked to produce timely reports from the CRM on specific projects and outcomes.  In addition, the job will entail maintaining and keeping up to date Tree Shepherd’s programme management documents and maintaining accurate records of our stakeholder pension and holiday/sickness and a register of other business compliance records.

The main duties are as follows:

Data management and evaluation

  • Ensuring the accuracy and completeness of Tree Shepherd’s CRM data for its social impact reporting
  • Training and assisting colleagues to utilise Salesforce effectively
  • Data entry/query resolution on Salesforce
  • Setting up and running Salesforce reports
  • Collecting and analysing data from current and previous clients
  • Supporting the data analysis for Tree Shepherd’s annual Impact Report

Office administration

  • Maintaining Tree Shepherd Programme Management spreadsheet
  • Maintaining staff holiday/sickness records and ensuring NEST pension scheme is fully up to date and records maintained
  • Answering general office telephone, email and in-person enquiries
  • Providing general support on invoicing and overseeing the petty cash system
  • Conducting database analysis and internet research for funding bids/proposals

Person specification

  • Knowledge of SALESFORCE CRM system essential
  • Accurate attention to detail and following through on tasks to completion
  • A clear interest in data management and social impact reporting
  • Confident user of Word, Excel, Outlook and web-based programmes
  • Knowledge of and familiarity with Excel analysis tools
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Interest in the social enterprise and/or employment support sector
