The Bristol SME Client Relationship Team provides exceptional service to business clients with turnover of £3m-25m across various sectors. In your role as an Associate Relationship Manager you will be instrumental in driving the day to day relationship within a pooled support team looking after SME client portfolios by offering first class client support. This will include the proactive management of the client contact strategy to deliver effective client interactions, helping to cement Lloyds Banking Group as the best bank for business.

You will work in close partnership with the Relationship Managers to optimise the effectiveness of client meetings and independently drive your own quality client interactions. So using your excellent communication skills will be key. Building strong relationships with all stakeholders and deepening client relationships through the understanding of their business will ensure the bank can continue to meet client needs by timely delivery of insight, service and products.

To ensure a prompt service is delivered to our SME clients you will collaborate within a team of Associate Relationship Managers/Directors. This role will provide you with the opportunity to develop personally and professionally within Commercial Banking, plus working collaboratively within an ambitious team to build our business and bring to life the Group vision of Helping Britain Prosper.

The ability to plan effectively and being organised will be essential in this role to ensure client meetings are professionally prepared, utilising the full suite of tools to maximise the quality of the interactions, providing appropriate market and sector insight.

As your knowledge and confidence grows you will proactively suggest ideas and solutions to clients and identify, review and suggest improvements to simplify processes and ways of working to contribute to business efficiency goals.

Right from the start, we'll give you full training with a 6 month training programme where you will be fully supported whilst you learn. During this time you will be given all the coaching and development you need to achieve your competency. We will help you to obtain a full understanding of our operational policies and procedures plus give you an awareness of regulatory practices and constraints. So you don't need previous experience of finance or banking however customer service experience is essential. This role is eligible for the Apprenticeship Programme, offering successful candidates an 18 month Apprenticeship, resulting in a Certificate in Retail Banking Conduct Business (CertRBCB).
