HR Programme Manager, Open to flexibility


The corporate functions BRM team, is part of the IS function within GDBS. They are focused on ensuring executive alignment and amazing relationships with the business that will enable the delivery of new technology solutions to address the objectives and business outcomes they seek.

The Corporate Functions team delivers solutions into a number of functions including Finance, Treasury, HR, Legal and Corporate Relations.
The role of this Business Partner is to focus on HR, Legal and CR functions, and work collaboratively with the leadership of these functions to define the strategy and roadmap for the function, for example, for HR this would look at Talent, Resourcing, Core HR, Learning etc. and to then join this up with the relevant technology solutions. This role holder will also provide the leadership and expertise to deliver business outcomes for the various functions by providing the right resources and knowledge or the drive and clarity to land the solutions required. They are also responsible for the ongoing Service Delivery of GDBS services into their functions and setting up the BAU model up for success.

Purpose of Role 

  • Responsible for partnering with the functional heads to agree the strategy and key priorities, working with the functional/market Business Partners.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the IS and Business Shared services are delivered to the agreed SLA’s and that any escalations that are required are made.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the functions remains compliant with the key GDBS policies and procedures.
  • Responsible for ensuring that Business sponsorship and resources are in place for all projects for their functions/markets and removing blockages.
  • Responsible for working with the business leads and sponsor to define business case documents.
  • Responsible for delivering any technology solutions that drive business outcomes for the functions, and ensuring that they are engaging with various IS team to get the right enterprise architecture and security approvals.
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of their projects and providing SME support where relevant.
  • Responsible for ensuring that operational and project budgets are managed, tracked and delivered on target.
  • Responsible for coaching and growing the talent in their teams.

  • As SME for his/her business area, ensure that there is capability build and that knowledge is shared globally across IS and the business.
