Operations Director, Part time

Fushi Wellbeing is a young, dynamic and growing ethical health and beauty brand based in West London. We are a small friendly team with a passion for healthy living and providing high quality health and beauty products.

We are looking for a highly experienced Operations Director to help drive forward our growing business. Candidate should preferably have a min 5 years’ experience with a small to medium sized business. Experience of the health and beauty sector would be beneficial but not essential.

Your main responsibilities would be: -

  • Assist management in setting goals that promote company growth
  • Oversee daily activity and train the current team, and hire as necessary to achieve goals.
  • Hire and train an operations manager to deliver goals.
  • Prepare budgets, schedules, and other organisational reports as needed
  • Provide advice and guidance to employees
  • Manage team workloads in order to meet goals and deadlines
  • Develop plans to increase efficiency and reduce costs
  • Improve existing systems and policies, incl organic standards and plans to achieve ISO9001 certification.
  • Ensure customer requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Promote and enforce safety in the workplace
  • Manage stock and inventory to optimise sales and profit
  • Manage suppliers and optimise purchasing of raw materials, as well as all other operational costs.
  • Negotiate best terms with suppliers and logistic providers.
  • Oversee all manufacturing functions and closely work with other departments to promote efficient factory optimisation.
  • Identify improvement areas and plans and implements systems to boost company effectiveness.
  • Manage internal and external service suppliers
  • Execute plans designed to meet company goals by changing policies and coaching employees

  • Proven track record of success in operational roles
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong IT skills
  • Ideally experience of the health & beauty sector including  product manufacturing
  • Confident, driven and dynamic leader.

  • Knowledge of Safety, Quality, ISO and Organic Standards.
  • Ability to Demonstrate Exceptional Organisation and Planning Skills
  • Degree in Operations Management or Business Field

This is a 2 day a week role for 4 months, followed by 1 day a month ongoing. Ideally we are looking for someone to start immediately, also you will live within an easy commutable distance from the Acton W3 area.
