Returners Programme - Commercial Banking - Product, Open to flexibility

The Commercial Banking business provides a client focused approach for UK businesses and businesses with strong links to the UK. The CB businesses Help Britain Prosper globally through our network of expert relationship managers and product specialists, which allow our clients to tap into local knowledge, providing them with expert advice on their businesses and the products they need to help them manage their risk, achieve liquidity and support their growth ambitions.

The Commercial Banking Returners Scheme offers a wide range of opportunities for returning professionals who have previously worked within commercial banking or related professional services. We have roles across the business, including our Coverage areas of Financial Institutions, Global Corporates, Mid Markets and SME, our Product areas of Commercial Banking Markets and Global Transaction Banking, through to Delivery and Control Functions, spanning both frontline and support function roles at senior levels, across a number of locations around the UK.

If your initial application is successful we'd look for you to join us for an Assessment Day during June.

The programme commences on 10th September and runs for 16 weeks. For successful Returners, permanent roles would follow.

Annualised Salary for Commercial Banking Returners Programme is £55,000. Salary would be reviewed once placed into a permanent role at the end of the programme.

For the duration of the programme you would receive a pro rata salary as shown and a lump sum to take as cash or use to purchase a tailored benefits package tailored to meet your lifestyle choices.

Commercial Banking has a number of opportunities across a range of business and locations. This job advert focuses on opportunities within our Product teams, but if appropriate we will also consider you for Relationship Management and Support roles.

Our Product businesses are:

  • Commercial Banking Markets
  • Global Transaction Banking

We are looking for individuals with a strong appetite to (i) learn new skills, (ii) develop their sector and product knowledge, (iii) actively prospect and follow up existing and new business opportunities and (iv) strive for a successful career within the team. The individual needs strong interpersonal and communication skills given the frequent interaction with internal colleagues and with clients. We are looking for candidates with a proven track record in a Markets role, or within a Transaction Banking business with knowledge of Invoice Finance, Trade, Asset Finance or Cash Management and Payments.

Recognising that the transition back to work can be a challenge this 16 week internship programme is designed specifically with this in mind - with the aim of offering you a permanent position at the end.

To qualify, you'll need to be returning from a break of (minimum) two years and whilst you're likely to have worked within professional services or banking, it's your experience, drive and transferable leadership skills that are important to us.
