We are looking for an experienced software developer to join our team to contribute to the success of an important strategic project. Development of web based tools used both online by customers, and offline by call centre sales agents. You will be of senior developer level within the team and will need to have strong Microsoft SQL database skills with regards to database administration and data manipulation. You will be responsible for the technical input and implementation of all aspects of business requirement, design and build through the tools supplied, playing a key role in the success of a direct sales channel within a large corporation in the financial services sector.

Key responsibilities include undertaking delivery of designated specialist activities in order to secure the successful delivery of project to migrate critical software applications & databases to a brand new platform, execute changes with the development tools supplied and ensuring compliance with appropriate best practice.

You will contribute to the design, development and specification of new/redesigned processes, systems, information, documentation and supporting materials, consulting with customers where appropriate, to ensure that their requirements are fully understood and met whilst providing expertise and support for the infrastructure underpinning the business MI capability. Managing and evolving day to day relationships with internal and external partners. Support the planning and execution of systems testing, performance testing and user acceptance testing, for any IT changes / project implementations / enhancement releases, as directed.

Providing advice, guidance and coaching to less experienced team members in order to enhance their technical capabilities and ensure value added service to customers overseeing the work of the team as required is key, whilst supporting the timely and accurate delivery of all requested projects and initiatives ensuring these are within specification and budget costs. You will ensure that the detailed business requirement and configuration change execution outputs are in full compliance with all relevant mandatory and regulatory requirements, such as the Data Protection Act, W3C Accessibility, DDA and Cross-browser support.

You will have a background in the design, build, test and implementation of change across the eCommerce / Database environments and a proven track record in delivering changes with web based languages including ASP.NET, C#, HTML, CSS, XML, JavaScript, etc. You will be numerate, analytical and decisive and highly competent with database management, configuration and queries. SQL and Oracle experience is essential.

Ideally you will have previous experience of Service Orientated Architectures and application of Application Programming Interfaces (API's). You will be an expert with Microsoft development tools - Visual Studio, Team Foundation Server, Visio, and possess strong knowledge of MS Office products and its underlying programming language.
