Supply Chain Planning Product Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Supply Chain Planning Product Manager who will be responsible for working with product teams to mobilise the vision, strategy and roadmap for tech products supporting Demand Planning within Pharma Supply Chain.

Job Purpose

Demand Planning sits at the heart of the supply chain, ensuring GSK consistently delivers medicines to our customers whilst at the same time freeing up capital to support the development of future medicines. The role demands resourcefulness and a deep understanding of the business context allied with passion for crafting value through the delivery of digital and tech solutions.

It ensures that all work performed is aligned with Value, Flow & Quality, as well as partnering with the Business Owner to ensure the tech product lifecycle is efficiently led and prioritized.

Key responsibilities include the following:

  • Crafting tech Product Strategies and Roadmaps, interpreting business strategies and goals into technical product visions, strategies, roadmaps.
  • Understand problems and opportunities faced by the product customers to elicit potential value opportunities, bring value cases for the product and maintaining a tech product backlog.
  • Preparing for and Executing “Big room planning” / Product Increment processes and ceremonies.
  • Working with and leading product teams, developing new tech solutions, delivering through agile experimentation and taking products to industrialisation.
  • Maintaining, optimising and eventually being responsible for the maturity and decline of the tech product through its lifecycle.
  • Supports the Digital, Data & Analytics strategy for Product Applications. Collaborates with business partners to develop a multiyear Digital, Data and Analytics approach to ensure Supply Chain has the data & insights to be competitive.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for Individuals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Knowledge of and experience in the delivery of Supply Chain Planning and Management products in the marketplace.
  • Experience of collaborating in cross-functional teams with the goal of deploying and integrating Supply Chain Tech and Digital solutions across the Enterprise and with external business partners, preferably within an Enterprise scale Agile framework.
  • Awareness of emerging digital trends and their application within a Supply Chain and Coordinated Business Planning context.
  • Experience of using core data to develop decision support reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Design thinking
  • Storytelling and articulation
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Effective business partner management
  • Diplomacy and influencing
  • Technical acuity

Preferred Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • Enterprise global supply chain planning and management product (eg SAP, Blue Yonder, Kinexis etc)
  • Demand Planning Analystics solutions
  • Power BI
