Senior Pensions Lawyer, Open to flexibility

At Lloyds Banking Group we're motivated by a clear purpose; to Help Britain Prosper. Across the Group, our colleagues are passionate about making a difference to customers, business and communities. Our in-house legal teams work in close collaborative partnership with both external counsel and business partners, delivering high quality legal services and leading the Group's legal risk.

We're currently seeking a Pensions Lawyer, to join our Life and Pensions Legal team. The team is part of our Insurance & Wealth division, a team which has particular expertise in pensions, bulk annuities and longstanding products.

You'll primarily have specific responsibility for workplace pensions products, ensuring they align with legal requirements. You'll be working within a specialist team to provide dedicated and focused advice in order to deliver the needs of the business. There is particular emphasis on the commercial contract aspects of workplace pension products.

You'll have additional responsibilities regarding Master Trusts and Retirement Saver Products, which will include:

  • Assisting with new business on-boarding and negotiation
  • Maintenance of employer service agreement templates
  • Providing pension legal advice to Propositions and Client Services

You'll also be supporting new business tenders and responses and the delivery of complex projects using your pension law knowledge. This will be a great opportunity to input into projects that will have a significant impact for Insurance & Wealth.

As a senior leader, we'll expect you to take personal responsibility for relationships with stakeholders. You'll need to be able to challenge, influence and advise on legal issues associated with workplace pension products to support and protect the interests of, and develop the business of, Insurance & Wealth.

As a minimum, we'll need you to be a qualified solicitor with experience in life insurance and pensions law. We're particularly interested if you also have an understanding of Master Trusts.

In return, in addition to salary, we offer an award-winning benefits package, performance-related bonus, car allowance, a contributory pension scheme and private medical insurance, as well as a flexible benefit scheme with industry leading benefits on offer.

We're passionate about diversity and providing equal opportunity. We're also considerate of agile working, and open to discussion on aspects of this to suit individual and business requirements. Join us and be part of an inclusive, values-led culture passionate about making a difference.

Whatever your aspiration, you can also expect excellent benefits, personal development and a career that's enriching and full of opportunity.

So if you have the skills and experience we need, we'd be keen to hear from you.

Together we make it possible.
