Property Manager, Open to flexible working

Location: 5 Pancras Square

Salary: £31,836 to £36,931

Contract Type: Permanent, full time, 36 hours per week

The Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and ambitious individual who will manage the regular site inspection and compliance audits; as well as ensuring repairs and planned and reactive maintenance of a portfolio of properties are scheduled and remedial repairs are undertaken.  A key requirement for the role of property manager is to ensure that all health, safety and environmental management issues are addressed.

You will effectively manage property assets which may include administrative buildings, care homes, resource centres, libraries, sports centres, play centres and depots to deliver better outcomes for the people of Camden. You will be proactive and take the lead in devising and implementing a programme of regular building and condition inspections and identify solutions. As part of the wider Camden programme, you will prepare reports for the Senior Property Manager and Senior Practitioner [Corporate Building Management] for larger works and schemes that should be considered for capital funding.

About You

You will be responsible for ensuring any out of hours emergencies are handled effectively, ensuring robust procedures are in place and communicated effectively to minimise disruption to services or prevent financial loss. You will have a good knowledge of building management and related services i.e. planned and reactive maintenance, security and of managing contracts and contractors on site as well as budgetary management and financial procedures. You should have a thorough knowledge and good practical application of health and safety legislation (Health & Safety at Work Act 1974) to property management together with a good knowledge of the Equality Act. You should also have experience of managing and developing multiple budgets and experience of working within a customer focused environment.
