PO5: Starting salary £42,651 pa rising in annual increments to £45,438 pa incl LW
Applications are welcomed for the post of Policy & Communications Manager (Performance). This post is at the heart of a small corporate Performance Team, responsible for Council-wide performance management and service improvement. This is an exciting time to be joining the Performance Team. We have radically revised the way we collect performance data and have ambitious plans for developing our approach to service improvement.
Reporting to the Head of Performance & Service Improvement you will play a leading role in managing the system used to collect performance data, analysing data to support improvement activity and reporting performance across our directorates and to council committees.
To be successful in this role you should have an excellent grounding in performance management, including performance measurement and improvement methodologies. You will be able to analyse and present complex performance data and will want to understand the reasons behind why changes and trends occur. You will also have good communication and stakeholder management skills and be comfortable advising senior managers and Councillors. Lastly, you will be action-orientated, able to spot problems, offer solutions and play a role in getting them delivered.
