The Forensic Technology Software Development Team in St Albans is a new and rapidly growing team that is driving innovation for our clients across Financial Advisory. As an experienced developer within our team, you will use and develop the skills you have acquired, working closely with the London team on a wide range of projects across Europe. Role description

Working within the Forensic Technology Software Development team, you will harness cutting edge technology and the latest programming techniques to help solve our clients’ most complex and immediate issues. You will be involved in designing and building innovative solutions to compliance and risk issues in the financial crime and regulatory fields and providing specialist services on large and complex data-driven projects throughout the wider firm.

Your home office will be St Albans, where almost 210 employees work across Forensic, Tax and Audit & Assurance.

As a Developer you will:

  • Be an integral and collaborative member of a team building top-quality products and services
  • Be involved with the design, coding, testing, implementation, and documentation of solutions
  • Develop program specifications ensuring that expected application performance levels are achieved
  • Understand and be involved in the complete development lifecycle for products and applications
  • Understand the importance of unit and test plans, constantly looking for opportunities to improve code quality
  • Evaluate new technologies to expand the scope of the team’s work and identify opportunities for improvement and greater efficiency
  • Work effectively in diverse teams within an inclusive team culture where people are recognised for their contribution


Experience of the following is required:

  • NET (C# preferred)
  • MVC development
  • Skills in one of the following: JavaScript / Java / Python
  • Agile framework (SCRUM preferred)
  • Database design and development
  • Using project management and source control systems (e.g. Confluence / JIRA / GIT preferred)
  • Testing Frameworks (e.g. unit testing, BDD, TDD)
