IPSA is the independent body created in 2009 to regulate and administer MPs’ pay, pensions, business costs and expenses. We are a small organisation working in a high profile, political environment. We manage a budget of £170m and are responsible for ensuring transparency and fairness in the way MPs are remunerated. As well as administering MPs’ business costs and expenses, we run the payroll for MPs and their staff – around 4,000 people – and are responsible for setting MPs’ pay and pensions.
We are seeking to appoint MP Support Services Officers who will act as first point of contact and provide a high-quality service for a group of up to 170 MPs and their staff, to support them in the administration of the Scheme of MPs’ Business Costs and Expenses, in order to ensure compliance with our principles, rules and processes.
This is an exciting opportunity for dynamic, organised and self-motivated individuals seeking an opportunity to work in an organisation currently undergoing transformational change, where every day is different.
We are looking for:
- Someone with a positive and hardworking attitude who shares our values and is able to work well within a team and also use their own initiative.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively present information to key stakeholders and across the organisation.
We are a high-performing organisation that respects diversity and promotes our values of independence, honesty, openness, accountability and fairness through all the work that we do.
