Director of LAN & WiFi Services (Open to flexible working)

In this role, you will ensure that Technical Infrastructure Operations (TIO) delivers effective and efficient Local Area Network (LAN) transport services and WiFi services within GSK. This requires direct oversight and management of teams responsible for operation, delivery, product currency and software administration of complex globally deployed technology solutions.
Your role will be integral in directing & leading operational Incident/Problem Management for the LAN and WiFi infrastructure systems and services. This includes implementation and support services for core, regional and local market technology solutions across GSK sites globally.
You will have the opportunity to define and deliver the LAN WiFi services operating model to optimize efficiency and operational excellence in the delivery of service to GSK, including effective incident responsiveness. You'll develop strategies to ensure LAN and WiFi services continue to provide a secure and efficient workplace for GSK employees.
Your leadership skills will ensure all relevant internal and external standards for regulatory compliance and enterprise security are maintained and adhered to. You'll coordinate delivery and operations with the WAN and Perimeter services director to ensure a seamless GSK network and secure environment, providing lifecycle/capacity management.
In this role, you'll operate as part of a team accountable for the day to day global delivery of hardware and changes for LAN and WiFi devices and networks routers/switches. You will liaise with Managed Service Providers for LAN and WiFi related issues/services.
You will direct teams with responsibility for core and local site IT repairs/replacements, urgent high priory service impacting issues (SWAT calls), and service failure communications for duration of incidents (RTPA's, Service Alerts, IT help Alerts)
You'll also manage and fulfill user requests in a timely manner and in accordance with established metrics and have the ability to meet request fulfillment task and operate within SLA timeframes.

- You contribute to developing others (e.g. creation of educational resources, training, mentoring and coaching others) and demonstrate a solid understanding of the principles of technical certifications.
- Masters Degree in IT or Business
