Scrum Master, Open to flexibility

This strategy is far reaching and will extend to all corners of the business - from Big Data and applications of artificial intelligence in R&D to New Media in bringing to life consumer brands.

As a key member of the Integration Engineering - Product team, this individual will be responsible to provide Agile development team direction, align with partners on roadmaps and requirements for Integration Engineering technologies. This position interfaces with various teams involved with deployment and ongoing support of GSK's overall Platform offering.

WHAT WILL YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES BE?

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders throughout the project and align requirements
  • Plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
  • Define product road-map and growth opportunities
  • Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics and themes to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy
  • Provide backlog management, iteration planning, and elaboration of the user stories
  • Lead the planning product release plans and set expectation for delivery of new functionalities
  • Provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
  • Keep abreast with Agile/Scrum best practices and new trends

Experience, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Previous working experience as a Product Owner or Scrum Master
  • In-depth knowledge of Agile process and principles
  • Outstanding communication, presentation and leadership skills
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Creative thinker with a vision
  • Attention to details
  • Strong interpersonal skills to coordinate with other organizations across the business while managing customer expectations

Basic qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field and experience in information technology
  • Experience is playing the Scrum Master role for at least two years for a team that was diligently applying Scrum principles, practices, and theory
  • Knowledge of other Agile approaches: XP, Kanban, etc.
  • Awareness and experience with widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games
