The Business Process team provides best in class processes to support manufacturing and production operations at the GSK Ware GMS (Global Manufacturing and Supply) Site. This entails monitoring and continual improvement of all manufacturing and supply-chain systems and procedures to ensure that products released have been manufactured and packaged according to all Regulatory and cGMP requirements.

Job Purpose:

Working directly into the GMS Ware site's Harmonisation Manager, the Business Process Expert provides expertise within the supply-chain to maintain material and information flow with the ultimate objective of ensuring the site can achieve its commercial objectives.

Specifically, the Business Process Expert supports incident, problem solving and process improvements for functionality with the aim of integrating support functions effectively into the manufacturing and wider supply-chain. This includes establishing and maintaining a wide range of business process support elements (including business experts, data reps, system trainers) to enable the 1st-line support functions.

You will provide technical support to resolve business process incidents within agreed service levels (including break-fix within the supply chain / manufacturing process), as well as reviewing the incidents with a view to building a plan to support business process improvements. You will also work with other Sites and Above-Site support groups to provide technical input and lead approved systems enhancements.

About You:

This role would suit a self-motivated individual who has experience of working in a cross-functional, global supply organisation.

You will have business process, supply-chain, understanding with strong data-process knowledge ideally from an operational / manufacturing background. Knowledge / experience of working with SAP or similar systems (eg; MERPS) would be highly advantageous.

You will be resilient and calm under pressure, with strong people skills and a proven ability to influence people to achieve objectives and drive performance. You will have a strong continuous improvement mindset, and have strong demonstrable organisational skills.

About Ware Manufacturing Site:

Medicines at Ware are presented as either Respiratory devices or in Oral Solid Dose form. The site holds a unique position in our network as the only site responsible for launching the company's pipeline of new medicines in these dose forms, many of which are life saving medicines. A series of investments in new state-of-the-art equipment are being made that will support the delivery of a record number of new products. This must be achieved whilst consistently delivering outstanding quality, service and value to our patients.

Basic qualifications:

  • Relevant operational / manufacturing experience / qualifications.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Knowledge of SAP / MERPS (or similar systems)
  • Relevant qualifications in Scientific, Technical, or Engineering discipline
  • Operational knowledge and understanding of manufacturing processes associated with a dosage form
  • Experience working in a cGMP aligned pharmaceutical environment.
