Working in partnership with Commercial leadership, you will seek consistency across all regions, focusing on people, performance and impact: doing the right thing for the safety of our people and those they influence.

As a leader, you will have a large global team of roughly 20 people. You will therefore need to develop talent both within and without this team, upskilling and empowering to create an exceptional global safety culture in Commercial. You’ll also sit on the EHS Leadership Team, contributing to and influencing the wider business EHS Strategy. As such, this position is an extremely visible and aspirational role, part of a wide matrix network and playing an instrumental role in the reduction of risk. Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Leadership – Leading the EHS team and be a top-level executive adviser to the Commercial business in all relevant EHS matters.

About You:

In this role we need someone with excellent leadership, engagement and influencing skills. Combined with credibility and knowledge, you will thrive on getting the best out of others. In EHS you cannot always command change, meaning you will succeed through a deft influencing skill – flexing on your style and approach according to the situation. Safety is critical in all we do, so while you may get to take people on a transformative EHS risk reduction journey, at times you’ll also need the confidence and strength of character to hold people to account on their actions or inactions when it comes to keeping people safe. You will succeed through graceful articulation of the facts and purposeful delivery, managing your message to match your audience. It’s important to keep your EHS messaging relevant, engaging and clear; partnering with Commercial leaders, Compliance and your team to find EHS and business solutions, not barriers.
