About the role

Diageo Supply Chain & Procurement are undertaking a significant transformation programme to ensure we best support the business in delivery of Diageo’s Performance Ambition. Our transformation will be all encompassing, focused on our people, processes and technologies across all Diageo Supply Chain & Procurement functions.

To deliver this change, we are building in-function transformation capability and a central Strategy & Transformation team to work across functions; running overall programme delivery, as well as key cross-functional workstreams where we will achieve greater impact across the E2E supply chain.

The Strategy Analyst is a critical role that will sit as part of the Strategy, Performance and Insights Team. This newly established team will be focused on step changing our ways of working, with our maturity assessment identifying the most critical transformations.

Working across the entire Diageo Supply Chain & Procurement organization, you will be required to have, and continue to develop, a broad understanding of supply chain strategy and performance.

You will bring external benchmarks and insights into the business from 3rd party consultants and research bodies as well as leading a suite of benchmark critical metrics to provide assess our ongoing business vs a comparable peer set.

You'll partner with business leaders to develop a deep understanding of their business model, and partner with them on the development of strategies to grow the business.

This role will work closely with the Strategy, Performance and Insights Lead to create and update a rolling 3-to-5-year strategy. You will also provide analytical expertise and a cross-functional lens to transformation initiatives.

You’ll have the ability to scan the external environment to, Understand industry trends and macro factors, monitor how competitors are evolving and benchmark our performance against peers, through working with external consultancies, the Performance Analyst and functional teams.

You will also be responsible for scanning the internal environment to understand brand strategies and the direction of the business and create a rolling 3-to-5-year strategy.

About you

To be successful in role you will be a strategic problem solver and have to ability to partner and influence senior leaders.

You will have experience working in a CPG organisation and have a good understanding of end to end Supply Chain.

You’ll have the ability to draw insights from complex data and multiple sources.

It would be great if you are six sigma trained with a process approach.
