Finance Business Partner Director, Legal & Compliance

In this role you will…

  • Provide financial and strategic advice to Legal & Compliance LT stakeholders (CET/SVPs/VPs), actively contributing to delivery of overall financial reporting and performance. (In addition to this and separate to the L&C LT, you will also act as the key point of contact for the Chief Compliance Officer and their respective LT).
  • Build collaborative and trusted working relationships with senior stakeholders in the function, and across finance, that ensure successful finance partnering.
  • Ensure adherence to challenging financial targets by close financial management, including highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance, and proactively identifying risks and opportunities to meeting business and financial objectives.
  • Drive cost consciousness across the function, increasing engagement and skills development amongst L&C LT budget holders; drive business planning insights and accountability by ensuring budgets and forecasts are aligned and allocated according to the priorities of the function.
  • Provide support to the Function FD by proactively identifying opportunities and raising challenges to meet business objectives and mitigate risks.
  • Build and manage a diverse team of professionals working across different geographic locations.
  • Oversee the execution of financial controls and interaction with the internal and external auditors.

Why you?

Qualifications & Skills:

  • University Degree and a recognised finance qualification (CIMA, ACCA etc.)
  • Significant experience in financial controlling, financial reporting, or financial audit roles with a deep understanding of management reporting and financial planning.
  • Experience leading diverse teams and working in a global organisation across a matrix environment with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Strong communicator with experience working in English speaking organisations, with the capability to see the big picture and effectively prioritise both short and long-term objectives.

  • Demonstrated ability to drive a continuous improvement mind set.
  • Able to build relationships and influence at the highest levels of the business, thinking strategically, challenging senior stakeholders, and acting as a catalyst for change through strong Finance Partnering.
