The purpose of the HR function is to be an agile, connected and accountable partner to the business, enabling growth and performance. Our Global Functions teams sit right at the heart of driving this growth focussing on three distinctive areas to add real value to the business…Organisation Effectiveness, Talent and Performance Enablement.

This role reports into the Global Talent Director. The Inclusion and Diversity Manager is expected to lead the agenda globally; building relationships across the organization to drive change and commitment and to Inclusion and Diversity initiatives and to play an active role within the Talent & OE team, engaging on the global agenda and contributing to broader business outcomes.

The role will work with a number of senior stakeholders including market GMs and HRDs and will have high visibility in terms of the work generated with the Diageo Exec.  The position derives its success from its ability to effectively link culture, inclusion and diversity strategies to business goals, champion the value of inclusion and diversity, provide practical approaches to ‘operationalize’ inclusion and diversity strategies and be a collaborative and knowledgeable thought partner.

Top Accountabilities  

  • Partner with Global Talent Director, Market GMs and HRDs to establish inclusion and diversity plans to deliver the inclusive organization required to realize the Performance Ambition.
  • Champion the inclusion and diversity strategy across Diageo globally – building awareness and understanding and partnering with business and HR leaders to develop inclusive market cultures in line with global strategy – mobilise a global network of inclusion and diversity champions.
  • Build the capability of business and HR leaders to drive change and commitment to Diageo’s inclusive culture – designing and deploying tools to support the community in delivering an inclusive Diageo globally.
  • Drive innovative practices for Diageo leveraging leading external thought in diversity and inclusion and consult with markets looking to define areas of breakthrough.
  • Ensure outcomes through disciplined measurement and evaluation of Inclusion and Diversity initiatives (partner with CR Internal Engagement on engagement platforms and key measurement tools such as DVS) and build external employer brand through execution of culture and diversity awards strategy (with talent engagement & External comms)

Qualifications and experience required 

You will have a solid background and proven ability in driving culture change and leading inclusion and diversity within teams/organisations. An experienced leader, who has been transformational in their area of leadership (could be within the HR function or in another functional area).  Has a proven ability to drive culture change and builds diverse and inclusive talent strategies. 

Success is highly dependent upon:

  • Strong analytic orientation – brings insights and trends from data
  • Ability to communicate and influence at many levels internally and externally
  • Strong orchestrator that can work across the global matrix
  • Authentic, stands for what they believe in, compelling in their storytelling
