The Global Sourcing Lead is a critical stakeholder relationship role that is focused on ensuring the consistent delivery of talent pipelines and high quality diverse shortlists of talent for Diageo. 

Dimensions of the role 

Global Sourcing Lead supports Diageo’s America, Latin America & Caribbean, Asia, Africa and European markets. The team will be set up as experts in the latest cutting edge sourcing tools and techniques to allow for the finding of hard to find talents and will be adept at positioning Diageo as a destination employer to passive candidates.  The sourcing team play a vital role not only in understanding the depth and breadth of talent in each marketplace and bringing insights back into Diageo, but also being able to serve as ambassadors of Diageo’s employer brand, playing a key role in shaping how Diageo is viewed by the talent marketplace. 

Leadership Responsibilities/ Key Stakeholders: 

The role will manage a team of approx. 8 sourcers who may be based in remote locations. The global sourcing lead will be responsible for the hire, development and training of this team of expert sourcers. For setting their KPIs and inspecting pipelines to ensure pipelines are delivered in a timely way. 

Top Accountabilities 

  1. Ensure the sourcing team is highly capable and focussed on delivering strong pipelines of critical talent for Diageo’s current leadership roles based on business priorities.
  2. Using the workforce plans to ensure the sourcing team are pipelining talents ahead of time, and enabling Diageo to demonstrate proactive, rather than reactive recruiting.
  3. Ensuring that Diageo meets it’s key KPIs with regard to time to hire, quality of hire, I&D hiring and source of hire. Actively champions the ability to source directly within the Diageo model.

Qualifications and experience required 

  • A recruiting expert. Understand the latest sourcing tools beyond Linkedin, Boolean and xray searching
  • A commercial mind-set, loves to source and hunt talents.
  • Experience of managing multiple senior stakeholders and candidates in a fast paced environment
  • Experience of sourcing for senior mid-career hiring in matrix organization.
  • Strong external radar and awareness of external best practice on sourcing and pipelining.
  • Have exceptional consultative skills and be able to influence action and change with stakeholders
  • Ability to source and pipeline high quality talent quickly against hiring plans
  • Ability to deliver diverse shortlists and acts as champion of the D&I agenda
  • Execution excellence.  Operational rigour and a delivery mind-set.
  • Drives for results.  Loves to overachieve and delight stakeholder.
  • An ability to work in the most confidential situations gaining trust and respect from candidates and hiring stakeholders
