Nest is on a path to use its data to drive decision making, and we’re just at the beginning of the journey. The new Data & Analytics directorate is leading how we do it, working across the organisation. We work closely with our current outsource customer experience provider to deliver what the organisation needs right now, and we’re also part of the team that is working with the new supplier on designing the future.
The directorate includes:
Business Intelligence – getting our data and analysis out to the organisation through a new business intelligence hub.
Data management – planning and executing a strategy for managing our data as an enterprise, not in silos
Insight partnering – working with our new outsourced customer experience provider to make sure the right data & insight flows between the organisations from 2023
Data strategy – working on Nest’s data literacy, data governance, and a strategy for how we can all collaborate to make our data a really useful shared asset for Nest

Your new role
You’ll play a critical role between Nest and our new outsourced customer experience partner, Atos.
We’re redesigning all our customer journeys and touchpoints (website, satisfaction surveys, measurement framework, call centre, data hub, etc), and building a new customer strategy - we’re putting our customer at the heart of it all.
We’ve got a lot of research, data and analysis, and we need someone to tell the story of our customers and what they need, and make sure that story is front and centre of strategy and design.
As with any insight person, you’ll wear many ‘Subject Matter Expert’ hats and you’ll jump in wearing the right hat when you see the need: dot-joiner, strategist, researcher, organiser, data geek, influencer, segmenter, marketer, storyteller, and most of all, an empathiser with audiences.
This role will directly help Nest to navigate complex decisions about the future of the pension scheme, and put our audiences at the heart of our service.
You’ll report to the Insight Business Partner.
What you’ll need to succeed
You’ll proactively influence, lead and motivate all stakeholders to ensure customer insight and our data is the start point for all design and customer strategy.
You’ll act as business partner to senior colleagues by thinking more strategically and offering expert advice.
This role sits at the heart of Nest, helping the organisation to navigate a complex, time-pressured and very visible service design programme.

What you’ll get in return
This is a 3-days per week (23 hours per week) FTC until June 2023. Salary between £50,000 and £60,000 plus benefits (which will be prorated).
The role is offered as a job share, overlapping for one day per week with the person who is already in role.
