Overview

The Digital & Technology function has implemented a new operating model with the primary objective of maximizing the business value achieved through leveraging technology across Diageo. Over the next 3 years the company is investing in a strategic technology agenda to transform Diageo into the best data and insights-driven CPG company in the world.

Transform is the change delivery function within Digital & Technology with responsibility for the delivery and ownership of technology solutions used across Diageo. The Portfolio and Change team sits within the Transform organization.

The Portfolio and Change Director has responsibility for managing the D&T project portfolio, including mobilization of new initiatives, allocation of project management resource, governance and reporting of inflight activity, and supporting the successful implementation through change management. The role also has responsibility for driving Agile ways of working across the D&T function.

Role purpose:

Facilitating the planning, mobilization, execution, and adoption of technology investments which supports Diageo’s business objectives.

Key responsibilities:

  • As part of the senior D&T leadership, help shape and drive the overall D&T functional strategy and plans
  • Ensure the successful mobilization of agreed initiatives, working closely with capability teams on resource planning, and with finance on stewardship of investment budgets
  • Ensure successful delivery of the D&T portfolio and adoption of change
  • Create the internal organizational capability and external partnerships to support a dynamic portfolio
  • Grow and nurture the internal D&T team
  • Define and maintain project governance processes, standards, and tools and ensure that all delivery teams are trained on the appropriate methodology

Required experience:

  • The ideal candidate should possess the following key requirements:  
  • At least 15+ years of progressive responsibilities in Information Services (IS) or an IS focused business area 
  • Proven experience in running a PMO function for a large multi-country organization
  • Able to work collaboratively, handling conflicts in an extremely mature manner
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain good business relationships  
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and develop multi-disciplined and geographically dispersed teams  
  • Proven ability to own and manage large budgets and commercial savviness
