The Minster Centre is a registered charity based in Queens Park, London NW6 that trains psychotherapists and counsellors. Our courses are accredited by the UK Council for Psychotherapy, the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy, and validated by Middlesex University. The Minster Centre also provides a psychotherapy and counselling service to the local community and has a number of rooms that are hired out for therapy, training and events. The Minster Centre is a small, friendly organisation and the Credit Controller needs to be an adaptable and flexible person who enjoys teamwork within a continuously evolving environment.

The Credit Controller mission is to maximise the Minster Centre’s cashflow by ensuring that income and credit owed to us is paid in a timely and accurate manner and by supporting the wider Finance team in improving our finance management performance.

The Credit Controller is responsible for collecting aged debts, handling credit control activities to encourage prompt payments, and monitoring adherence to T&Cs and Credit Control procedures from the wider organisation to keep commercial debts to a minimum moving forward. The Credit Controller is responsible for monitoring accounts for non-payments, delayed payments, and other irregularities; for assessing the Minster Centre’s credit risk, planning, and delivering remedial actions; and for escalating unresolved debt issues to management team through reporting and case reviews.

As an experienced member of the Finance team, the Credit Controller also helps maintaining the sales ledger in an accurate manner at all times; helps reconciling month-end accounts and preparing year-end audit; and contributes to project-based improvement initiatives being finance management process redesign or system optimisation
