As GSK prepares for the upcoming separation, we are looking to recruit a Director of FP&A for the Consumer Healthcare team. The successful candidate will deliver financial planning, forecasting and budgeting processes for the new company. You will support the processes, systems and global teams to improve our financial planning and insight, as well as develop actionable insight based on actual performance, market data, forecasts and modelling to shape the direction of the business.

Responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Develop and optimise CH financial planning and forecasting processes and systems
  • Promote and develop best practices for Planning & Forecasting across the Regions/Business Units and the Regional Hubs
  • Lead cashflow analysis and modelling for CH liaising closely with Reporting and Treasury teams
  • Support target setting to ensure appropriate resource allocation across regions and business units
  • Prepare insightful analytics of actuals, plans and forecasts to key stakeholders.  Make clear recommendations where needed
  • Challenge plans and forecasts to ensure that they align with brand and market strategies and overall business objectives
  • Support preparation of CH Leadership Team and Board presentation materials including  Monthly Performance Review (MPR) and Commercial Operating Board (COB)
  • Scenario modelling including supporting going concern and viability statements
  • FX analysis and modelling impact on P&L and Cashflow
  • Finance support and coordination of CH Capital Allocation Board (CAB)

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Finance qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CA, MBA)
  • FP&A experience within PLC environment
  • Strong commercial acumen and International perspective.
  • Strong analytical, investment appraisal and problem solving skills.
  • Excellent financial modelling skills
  • Highly developed credibility with ability to communicate and influence at all levels of the organization.
  • Proven organizational and planning skills.
  • General financial planning systems skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Ability to balance conflicting priorities.
  • Excellent customer focus.
  • Ideal candidate would have In depth understanding of GSK/CH systems and processes
  • Able to communicate confidently and effectively (verbal and written) within the team and with people in a range of disciplines from external auditors and other functions within the Group which may have varying levels of knowledge and understanding of accounting.
  • Ability to work across boundaries: Stakeholders may be based in different locations around the world or within other functions within the Group.
  • Ability to prioritise and work on multiple activities in parallel: The role covers daily operational deliverables and ad hoc projects with focus on managing multiple reporting deadlines and delivering results.
  • Ability to explain complex financial concepts in simple terms: The role is involved in managing and accounting for potentially complex transactions. The role holder is expected to be able to explain complex financial concepts in simple terms to a wide range of stakeholders.
