As the Expert Marketing lead you will be a part of GBI Marketing Leadership team. You will define the Expert Marketing strategy for GB&I at the heart of which is driving expert recommendations that ultimately lead to incremental sales, category and brand growth. The strategy you set will determine brand marketing priorities and channels delivery, ensuring highest HCP reach, highest repeatable growth, opportunity for scale and differentiation across our competitive set in GBI market. You will provide marketing leadership at the interface of Global and BU level. The plans you will inspire your team to develop will be followed by strong execution with digital at the core and strong channels efficiency including best in class highly impactful hybrid field team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Ultimately driving the Expert Marketing strategy for GB&I – driving expert recommendations that lead to sales growth.
  • Drive a robust digital and data driven decision making standards across all the plans to make smarter decisions, create engaging communication and grow reach, trust and recommendations across all channels.
  • Working closely with Marketing Leadership team, ensuring alignment with market and brand priorities and maximising opportunities for Expert influence.
  • Collaborating and influencing Global Expert team, bringing best practices and utilisation of toolkits in GBI as well as leading impactful pilots contributing to market as well as global growth and improvement in ways of working and delivering.
  • Working closely with medical, influencing external key professional organisations and opinion leaders to raise HCP profile and ultimately better consumer experience and recommendations.
  • Working closely with compliance and legal ensuring compliance with GSK rules and values across all customer touchpoints, through relevant training, capability plan and sharing best practice.
  • Effective team leading and delivering for the critical business touchpoints, including but not limited to MAP process, RGM, 3-1 business planning.
  • Managing A&P budget of £6.26m, continuous ROI review across brand media, channels spend and samples delivery.
  • Setting and delivering against KPIs across all brand, channels and efficiency performance.
  • Working closely with finance on budget planning and forecasting.
  • Corporate and retail customer relationship accountability for Expert strategy and agenda. Working with sales to ensure expert plans are embedded in JBPs and executed as part of holistic customer plan and consumer experience.
  • Build an entrepreneurial and New Co culture mindset across the team to inspire the key behaviours driving an individual and business growth.
  • Leading a highly diverse and dynamic team of marketing managers, digital and data experts, field managers and HCP representatives.
  • Change management and embedding recent structural change & role/responsibilities changes throughout the team, alongside with strong agility mindset to react to market changes and demands.

The job holder needs to be tenacious and have a strong performance mindset – driving for results through an understanding of drivers of the business and has an ability to focus on the things that make a difference and get things done.  To achieve this the job holder needs to have:

  • Line management experience (ideally of a large multi-layered team)
  • Leadership / strategic ownership experience
  • Change management experience
  • Proven track record of driving sales and business targets
  • Previous Experience as Marketing or Sales Controller
  • Negotiation and stakeholder management ability and experience
  • Be qualified to Degree level
