Job Title

HR Business Partner

We are looking for a HR Business Partner to join Global Support Functions (GSF) Tech in an established role.

As an HRBP you will be accountable for successful delivery and deployment of the people related change project(s) you will be aligned to.  These changes are likely to be global and will span multi-countries, so experience of leading HR initiatives globally is essential together with an appreciation of local UK HR process and practice.  Your ability to build relationships with local HR and HR CoE’s is key as you will need to deliver people change initiatives through these teams whilst developing one plan that works for all countries.  At the same time, you will need to partner with multiple Business Leads in Tech as well as be the single point of accountability for HR and lead the HR workstream(s) for the business changes you are aligned to

Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with Tech business leaders and teams on strategic HR initiatives to drive business performance in Talent, Culture, Capability, I&D and Leadership.
  • Lead or support global business change projects as well as UK wide projects such as I&D, UK initiatives or governance projects
  • Business Change:
  • Responsible for developing change plans for aligned Tech sub functions with a focus on Talent, Leadership, Culture, Capability (and Restructuring where required), together with appropriate risk management, action tracking, look-ahead and reporting. 
  • Tracking progress against milestones and delivery for each phase of the change.
  • Delivering change plans to ensuring that all HR milestones are completed to schedule
  • Lead on HR materials required to communicate the change and partner with Comms and the Business on developing the comms and engagement approach.
  • Collaborate closely with the aligned HR team in defining and driving the activities that will deliver the transformation, separation and enable the transition into BAU
  • Navigate through complex matrix organisations and partner with key stakeholders (e.g. Local HR, Recruitment, Compensation) in managing the implementation of HR activity at local level 
  • HR Lead for project meetings/reporting progress to senior stakeholders
  • Influencing and coaching senior leaders in the delivery of key HR activities to develop leadership skills and people management capability
  • Management complex business queries

This position is all about working internationally and tying together HR and business stakeholders from multiple locations to deliver change and implement HR activities.  It will require true influencing skills and the agility to manage successful relationships with varied teams. Communication skills are essential, including the ability to communicate complex processes appropriately to each stakeholder. Working internationally, you will also need strong cultural sensitivity in order to communicate, collaborate and engage effectively with all parties.

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Undergraduate degree or professional certification in related HR discipline or equivalent experience
  • Experienced in driving change projects or initiatives in at least one of the following areas: Talent, Leadership, Culture, Capability, Inclusion and Diversity projects and initiatives
  • Experience of leading large scale, multi-country change programmes in one or more blue chip multinational organisations where change is complex and fast-moving and be comfortable working with ambiguity in a matrix structure
  • Significant global restructure experience
  • Experience of leading and influencing indirect HR teams
  • Excellent track record of translating external landscape & business strategy into HR solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Highly accountable and outcome focused.
  • Enjoy working with highly engaged, highly technical business leads, who genuinely value HR in managing change
  • Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgement and initiative in finding solutions.
