Tech Product Manager – Supply Chain

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Tech Product Manager who will be responsible for working with product teams to mobilise the vision, strategy and roadmap for tech products supporting External Supply within Pharma Supply Chain.

External Supply plays a critical role in the supply chain working with our Contract Manufacturing partners and ensuring GSK consistently delivers medicines to our customers.  The role demands tenacity and a deep understanding of the business context allied with passion for creating value through the delivery of digital and tech solutions.

It ensures that all work performed is focused on Value, Flow & Quality, as well as partnering with Business Owners to ensure the tech product lifecycle is effectively managed and prioritized.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Creating tech Product Strategies and Roadmaps, interpreting business strategies and goals into tech product visions, strategies, roadmaps.
  • Understand problems and opportunities faced by the product customers to elicit potential value opportunities, creating value cases for the product and maintaining a tech product backlog.
  • Preparing for and Executing “Big room planning” / Product Increment processes and ceremonies.
  • Working with and leading product teams, developing new tech solutions, delivering through agile experimentation and taking products to industrialisation.
  • Maintaining, optimising and eventually managing the maturity and decline of the tech product through its lifecycle.
  • Supports the Digital, Data & Analytics strategy for External Supply tech products. Collaborates with key business stakeholders to develop a multiyear Digital, Data and Analytics approach to ensure Supply Chain has the data & insights to be competitive.

Basic Qualifications:

We are looking for Individuals with these required skills to achieve our goals:

  • Knowledge and experience of digital technology products in Supply Chain domains - in particular, Supply Chain Collaboration products such as SAP Ariba
  • Proven experience of collaborating in cross-functional teams with the goal of deploying and integrating Supply Chain tech and digital solutions and services across the Enterprise and with external business partners, preferably within an Enterprise scale Agile framework.
  • Awareness of emerging digital trends and their application within regulated Supply Chain, Integrated Business Planning and Contract Manufacturing contexts.
  • Proven experience of leveraging core data to develop decision support reporting and analytics solutions.
  • Design thinking, storytelling and articulation
  • Great presentation skills and effective stakeholder management
  • Diplomacy and influencing
  • Technical acumen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Batchelor’s degree or equivalent
