Operations Manager - Hedge Fund - some homeworking available

A small, well established market leader is looking for a Hedge Fund Operations Manager actively managing the service deliverables to the Fund Manager. To join them in this role, you will have both client and operational experience in the funds world or similar environment.

Operational responsibilities

  • Trade processing, trade matching & affirmation, reconciliations, collateral management, payments, reporting
  • NAV Production, Daily P&L delivery, Trade Processing, Reconciliations and reporting
  • Assessing operational performance through analysis of data and metrics
  • Delivering operational efficiencies
  • Oversight and Management of Prime Broker and Custodian relationships
  • Oversight of operational error reports; assessment of control failure and management of control improvements
  • Maintain a robust risk and control frame work around our operational processes

Additional responsibilities

  • Support in opening of new bank accounts
  • Facilitate regular in person service review meetings
  • Be responsible for managing client issues and projects through to satisfactory resolution
  • Build effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels
  • Ownership of client delivery, all facets of Fund Administration, Middle Back Office, Fund Accounting and Investor Services
  • Manage investor due diligence questionnaires and presentations
  • Coordination of Fund Administration Board Reports
  • Indirect management of client aligned production service teams across multiple locations 
  • Client on-boarding, working with the Implementations team


  • Demonstrated track record of strong operational skills in the financial sector
  • Listed Operations experience preferred
  • Knowledge of OTC product lifecycle preferred (collateral, reconciliations, settlements)
  • Solid understanding of operational risk and controls
  • Research and analysis expectance in equities is advantageous
  • Project management experience and skills is advantageous
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft project A third level qualification preferred in a finance or business-related area
  • Broadridge is advantageous

Experience of these responsibilities in a small boutique business is essential.

Flexibility: Full time hybrid

Location: London / Remote

Salary: £45,000 - £60,000
