Part time Operational Accountant, Surrey, flexible
Our client is a small business, looking for an Accountant to join their team. This person will be a strong communicator who will enjoy working teams across Europe to understand all costs across business in order to enhance and improve the financial controls. This is an urgent hire and candidates must be able to start work in July.
This is a new role which has been created following a restructure. This person will be a qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) this at least 3 years PQE.
The key responsibility of this role is to ensure effective and accurate monthly cost reporting for all busness operations. This will include ensuring the monthly income statement and balance sheet reporting is completed efficiently.
- Monthly financial and management reporting together with meaningful variance analysis
- Balance sheet reconciliation preparation and control
- Statutory returns (VAT returns, statutory accounts, other local returns)
- Process improvements
- Development of internal reporting
- Preparation of reforecasts
- Franchise partner commission calculations
- Internal and external audit
- Assist in implementation of new Sap ERP system
This person will have:
- Experience of completing statutory accounts and VAT returns
- True team player with ability to build strong relationships with internal and external partners/teams
- Ability to work under pressure and consistently meet deadlines
- Advanced Excel skills
Fluent French and experience using SAP are desirable skills
Knowledge of local accounting rules in other European countries such as France, Germany, Holland, Belgium also desirable
Must be able to start working in July
Salary: £50K FTE (£30K for 3 days a week)
Location: Surbiton, Surrey
Flexibility: 3 days a week (must also be able to work the first 3 working days of every month)
