Your role

As an Agile Delivery Manager with strong Scrum experience, you will be working closely with Product Managers, Designers, Agile Developers and configuration SME’s in a cross functional team environment. You will also work with the PMO & Leadership team.

You will be an agent of change - a positive disruptor who pursues collective delivery excellence. 

Key responsibilities include:  

Own the delivery of product or a specific client implementation, end-to-end using both traditional and agile project management techniques including SOW, planning, budgeting, resourcing, reporting and Scrum ceremonies to see through to a successful delivery

  • Work collaboratively with an agile cross-functional Scrum team, including Product Managers, UX, developers and configuration SMEs to deliver products or client engagements on time and within budget
  • Actively engaging with internal and external stakeholders, improving transparency through effective and clear communication.  
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and facilitate discussions about risk, complexity or scope change even within contained timelines
  • Facilitate Agile ceremonies within the teams, educating the team and measuring their effectiveness, always looking for ways to improve
  • Work together with team during project estimation sessions and share understanding of projected durations, contributing to product roadmap/release, budget estimates and planning
  • Quickly and effectively tackle impediments and critical issues, driving appropriate decisions and actions. Help the team effectively identify, manage, and resolve dependencies
  • Work with Agile PMO and Leadership, supporting programme management requirements practices and reporting
  • Communicate technical issues to non-technical people

Location: You will be based at our St. Albans or London office, with the option of working from home from time to time.

Your professional experience

Essential:

  • Experience managing the end-to-end delivery of software products, with a strong grasp of progress against milestones and reporting on delivery metrics
  • Strong stakeholder and conflict management experience, experienced in influencing, active listening, and negotiation across business functions
  • Experience delivering large scale, complex products across multiple teams and geographies in matrix managed environments
  • Demonstrable knowledge of successful long term delivery planning: resourcing, scheduling, budgeting, communication channels and risk management
  • Positive leadership skills, with experience in mentoring and inspiring a team and conflict resolution
  • Experience working with Product managers and business owners in creating/supporting product roadmaps, resource, and release plans
  • Positive attitude, friendly to others, encouraging of co-operation, honesty, and respectfulness in the workplace
  • Solid understanding of Software development processes and procedures (SDLC) through an Agile framework
  • Collaborative mindset, with an ability to empathise with colleagues and establish relationships
  • Experience of change management and release processes
  • Experience in the use of at least one tool for managing agile delivery (training and support with use of JIRA and Confluence available)

Desirable:

  • Experience/background in traditional project management and application into agile environments.
  • Experience & good knowledge in using MS Office tools.
  • Experience with Commercials/Contractual aspects of an asset
