Do you want to support young people's development in a role that is responsible for all financial outcomes across the four Isledon companies, including payroll, sales, suppliers, grants, credit control? Are you already ACCA qualified, or on your way?
Isledon Arts is a Community Interest Company that runs youth services in Islington on behalf of the Council. These include open-access activities, careers advice, well-being, mental and sexual health support. We offer room hires and catering during the day to help pay for these youth services and use the business as a development opportunity for young people. 60% of our staff are aged 25 or under, and you can see their video about working for Isledon here.
At about 40 staff in all and £2m turnover, Isledon Arts is the largest of three CIC's controlled by Isledon Partnership LLP. The others are Isledon Systems, a software development company, and Isledon Here To, which supports volunteering. This role covers all four organisations.
We are proud of our business model, which brings real commercial income – so far over £5.1m in ten years – to support much-needed work with young people.
You will be part of a small head office group alongside our bookings team, who handle commercial hires, and the Chief Executive. You will be in our youth centres some of the time, or working remotely from home. The job is varied and working with young people is never dull!
You should be ACCA qualified or equivalent or working towards it, proficient in Sage Accounts and Payroll, passionate about accuracy and energised by what we do.
